Retrieve Product Key

Hey,

I installed Win 8 64 a while ago. Subsequently, I have lost the sleeve that my Win 7 Ultimate CD was in that had the prod. key on it.

Is there a way to retrieve it from my hard drive without uninstalling win 8???

download and install Belarc Advisor, run the program, (the initial analysis may take a little while) and note the Windows 8 product key displayed in the Software Licenses section.

The Windows 8 product key is a series of 25 letters and numbers and should look like this: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

Actually I need the key for win7. Will that program identify that one also?

I'll download it and see if it will.

I believe it will do it for any current OS including XP.
