Ribbon strip graphic for Donors

Looking nice. Im thinking we should still refer to the level on the ribbon. People love to have "stripes" that represent a ranking. Also the less it feels like an ad, the more likely ppl will want it in their sig. Heres an idea:

[N logo] Scarlet Level [bigger font/] HuskerBoard Donors Team[/font] Click to get N

Or we could get creative and put "Scarlet" in a diagonal stripe, if it fits.

 
Well, I think Eric wants the regular members to have the one like you currently have in your signature and the Mods/Admins have the advertising one.

 
Ok this is great. Will all of you guys please insert the "click to get N' into your signature, and link to the page? See mine below.

Frank / Alex -- can you please contact the members and ask if they mind us placing the "team member" strip into their sig? If they approve, we should probably do it for them to ensure it happens, & also link to that page.

Great work guys. The program is building momentum -- we have 10 donors currently.

Looks awesome addict! Few suggestions, maybe:

  • would it be better to trim the white space on either side? Users ought to be able to manually 'indent' the image if they want to (I think?), but there isn't a good way to un-indent it. There's maybe 10,15px.
  • What about a solid border (i.e, no arrow >) on the left side, an an outwards-pointing border on the right ( > with the interior of the 'arrow' red)?
  • A black border around the ribbon would look pretty sweet, I think.
  • Some other text / no text in place of the second "Click to get N?" The member level ones are fine with the repeated "____ Level".

As for PMing members, should we come up with a template PM? Do members get emailed a welcome message after paying? If so, that would probably be a good place to do it. If not, then a nicely formatted welcome email with details, codes, and also the sig pic instructions, we should come up with that and send it retroactively to all the donors so far.

Yes, they get a welcome message. Placing the information in there would be great - it would automate it and also be a kind of bonus for new donors.

We could do a PM to all the current donors with the language Alex suggested. The code I used for mine is:
