Ya, they have that Under Armour money and in a couple years they get full BIG money too. There is plenty of nearby talent at Maryland, they just haven't held on to it traditionally. If Richt could lock that down while using his Florida and Georgia ties they could be loaded.Richt to Maryland works, a lot of talent. He will have a lot of resources with UA, backing him. And he will have success, that's all Maryland is hungry for right now.
Plus his former Athletic Director Damon Evans works at Maryland....both also born in NebraskaRicht to Maryland works, a lot of talent. He will have a lot of resources with UA, backing him. And he will have success, that's all Maryland is hungry for right now.
You misspelled story so there is no way I can believe this.Associate Press is reporting a storey broken today in the Daily Nebraskan that indicates discussions are going on right now to bring back Tom Osborne, Frank Solich, Bo Pelini, Bill Callahan and, yes, Bob Devaney, to form the Husker "Dream Team" as Co Head Coaches. The Regents have brought in Bill Byrne, Steve Pederson and former Governor Ben Nelson, the past and present writing staff of the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal, all to act as a consulting and hiring committee to negotiate and hire the group. The idea is this will once and for all time re-unite the entire Husker fan base and the alumni and campus police and LPD and the local media. All past and present coaches, players and 'athletically inclined fans under the age of 88, are asked to apply for positions within the staff, on the team as players, etc.
It is expected that once the organization is up and running (target date of January 5th, 2016), the Huskers will never lose another game and can be expected to average an astounding 1,000 yards rushing and 850 yards passing per game, with a scoring average of 380. Due the the time consumed by the new offense which will be a combination of each and every offense scheme and formation ever devised, it is foreseen that the opponents will score about 3.7 pts per game. A new scoreboard has been ordered with the additional space for displaying of the full statistics and points scored without undue rounding. The stadium will be expanded to accomodate the new skyrocketing demand and seating is estimated to vary between 500,000 and 545,000 depending on the amount of beer and hot dogs consumed before the game.
More to come as the news is released.
54+ TDs on only 1850 yards of offense. Just under 5 yards per point.
