I would say yes but I didn't want to hog all the nominations for myself. And now, since it is open ended as to what we would like to happen to them, the nomination should include the consequence we would like to see.

Example;

74Hunter- would like to see him retroactively made a stunt double for the sex scenes in Brokeback Mountain.

Or whatever, you know, use your creativity.

You're an idiot. I don't hate Riley. I love Riley! He's the nicest guy you could ever meet. He's the most popular coach in the country amongst his peers. WTH is wrong with you???

And that is fine. There is some good basis for that being a person's opinion. It's not unreasonable to have the opinion that somebody else may have been a better choice. I just don't think it's right for people to already be expecting things to be fully turned around or to be convinced they will never get there under Riley. Like I've said many times, give the guy a chance to prove he was the right or wrong hire. IMO he has not been given that full, fair chance yet.

I feel the same as walksalone. I don't even know what you mean by "give him a chance". Do I have the option of vetoing the hire and not giving him a chance?

But I do have to be honest. I don't "hope I'm wrong". I just don't really care any more. I don't have any hope that he will do any good. I think he, and his staff even moreso, are in way over their heads. I guess if he does prove me wrong I'll be pleasantly surprised and I'll admit I was wrong and climb aboard the Husker train again. I like seeing an underdog come out on top once in awhile and Riley doing it would make for an awesome story. But, I don't think I can really get back to my old 1969-2003 level of Husker fandom until they get someone competent running the program.

Going out and hiring the first nice guy who will take the job just doesn't work. Anwhere! Especially at Nebraska. It's a unique place in the college football world. Devaney and Osborne laid out a perfect blueprint for making Husker football successful. Pederson took a sh#t on it, Pederhorst is wiping his a$$ with it and Perlman is dead set on flushing it. If somebody can recover it from the waste treatment plant, I'll definitely be back on board.

Even the biggest Bo haters still bled Crimson Red. Just because you think Riley and Co. can't deliver championships on par with BD and TO, THAT is your reason for not being a fan? I guess I'm just lost on the notion that fandom is something you can turn on and off when something you don't like happens.
