Looks like i need to take a drive down up to edwardsville and watch the kid play see what he's got, take a video and post it for you guys. Its only a 15 minute drive from the stadium where im at
... Or maybe I posted it for him and then thought, this is too good to be on this site... it needs to be on the homesite where more traffic will see it, and then copied it over. :sarcasmThats odd... I swear I just read this in the general recruiting area :dunno . Its like you posted it a second time and modified it for him... :dunno :sarcasmMy guess... if he is as good as he is, coaches will give him the option to play RB if he wants. In fact, he'll probably be told that on his visit Monday, Monday is a spring practice day as well... my guess is that he'll get to watch practice and see how NU is going to use its RB's.His top 5 are Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Tennessee according to Hawkeyereport.com back on March 16th. FWIW all of his top 5 schools are all recruiting him for RB. He also says that even though he has a top 5 that he's still open to all of the other schools recruiting him but wants to stay relatively close to home for college.
I think he'll come away impressed, thinking NU is a little better school than he originally thought. If he is a team player he should leave saying something similar to Ryan Klachko. He should also look at our RB position and realize Watson has said he wants to use a multi back system... with Helu leaving after this year and Heard coming in (hopefully) we're only gonna have 3 quality scholarship players when him and his class get here. Robinson and Burkhead will be Jr's at that time... meaning if he redshirts, he'll get a chance to start as soon as his RsFr year... if he is as good as professed.
OU and Texas take 4* and 5* RB's every year and they typically play 1-2 guys majority of snaps. If he is a team player he will see our system, see time to come in early, get some snaps and help the team out, he'll see the fundamentals he's gonna learn that the pros look for, he'll see a team that lacks the same type of depth that UT and OU have at that position, but a team that is also just as apt to win as National Championship in the future as UT or OU.

From these lists you can see that OU has 6 4-5* backs, UT has 5 4* backs, and NU has 2 4* backs.
If i'm a recruit and i'm lookin at programs with depth... i'd shy away from OU... stocked with young talent. I'd look at UT but then look at what they have done with their RB talent over the past 5-6 years and note that it's not done much. Then i'd look at NU and see what they are doing, how they could use some help, how i'd have a chance to play... It's clearly the best choice. :koolaid2:

Touche, It is quite deserving of its own thread... perhaps we should give it its own area.

He is scheduled to be in Lincoln today with his coach and a teammate. :koolaid2:So is he in Lincoln today?
I really hope he isn't afraid of a little wind.Just looked online and saw it was 75 in Lincoln today.. however, there were gusts of up to 27 mph. I hope that doesn't factor in.
I was a little disappointed but wouldn't say they totally blew-it. I think we're still in the race here. Need to get him in when he can spend some more time with the staff.Well it sounds like we totally blew the visit, to be honest. Per Rivals he said he enjoyed all three visits and of the three our facilities stood out the most. But because of the time he came, he didn't get much chance to spend with the players or the coaches, which is an enormous disappointment. Sounds like he came away impressed with Iowa the most. We still have a chance to get him back on campus, but from the way it seems to have played out, we should have taken much more care with this opportunity, spring game week or not.
Are we looking at him as a RB or an athlete? He could fit as an LB or even S with his speed. Then again he is a huge (and hopefully durable) RB which would be nice.Yeah, that's kinda what I got out of the article. I wouldn't say we blew it though. The timing was just rough. He didn't get nearly enough time at Nebraska - never really interacted much with the players and coaches.
The staff is busy as heck preparing for the spring game (only 2 practices left) and this was his last stop on a 3 visit trip.....it just happens. Like Husker_X said above, he says "all 3 school have a chance to get him back on campus, especially Iowa."
In the end, I looked at this trip as him just feeling us out anyway. We can get into the thick of his recruitment with the way our coaches consistently contact these kids. If we want him, the staff will put the effort into getting him back on campus.
He has his heart set on playing RB. Haven't heard what the coaches has said but you have to expect RB if that's what the kid wants to play. Are we looking at him as a RB or an athlete?
