Happy Veterans Day to all who have and still are serving in any capacity. Only two forces have given their life for you: Jesus Christ and the American soldier......Who all has served and where. I was with the 1/27th Wolfhounds, 25th Infantry, Schofield Barracks , Hi. as an M60 Gunner most of my time and have never had such good friends.

 
355th Civil Engineering Squadron, Firefighter/Medic. Stationed Davis-Monthan, Tucson AZ. Deployed Bagram, Afghanistan 2x and nearby FOB's.

 
Lots of AF people so far.

20 year guy and I also was Civil Engineering.

Worst assignment: Shemya AFB, AK 1973-1974

Best assignment: 819th REDHORSE RAF Wethersfield, UK 1987-1990

"It wasn't ME 1st Sergent, I was TDY at the time..."

 
I hope this doesn't "crash" this post...... I am not in the armed forces...just a teacher (civilian)....

I just felt the need to jump in on this thread and offer my personal THANKS for all that each of you do and/or have done for our Country !!! God Bless You and Your Family.

Without brave and honorable individuals such as yourselves, the USA wouldn't be what it is today. Thank you !!

 
Walksalone, I dont know what that is but its nothing to belittle, you served. I was Infantry because I was to stupid to go anywhere else. lol

Nothing wrong with Infantry...did my time there too! Now at 1-2 ARB, Ft Carson. Stop by if anybody is in the area, and I'll show you around the airfield.
