Rumors Tony White to FSU

Oregon is paying NIL money for a top 5 team.  I hope they would be near the top in NIL funds.  We are paying for a 6-6 team.  I would hope we are in the middle of the pack.

Now, as it relates to "Available" NIL money for a top 5 team.  I'm pretty sure Nebraska can get there.  And we've seen some of that already happening with some of the players they are bringing in last year, and this year.
Someone needs to convince Warren we are not a bad investment and maybe he can donate a billion to the Huskers before he dies.

I would have to imagine the money is available, but no need spending top 5 money for a top 60 product?  That's just dumb.

But I guess which goes first, chicken or the egg??

yawn, still living in the past I see. Go ahead, pop in the vhs tapes and go get a hard on to some of our title videos of the 20th century

Me? I’m a realist.  Perhaps a little more realism is needed around these parts, players and students at unl know nothing but the Callahan era onward regarding husker football.  The “wins”, “facilities” and “titles” from now 30 + years ago sure have helped us this century!

if you really think our program is in better shape you’re delusional. FSU has shown an ability to be a title contender twice in the last decade, we haven’t even formed a squad to win the big ten west twice in the last 10 years lol
Past or not it doesn't change what I said and facilities and fan base are current.

Hate to say it but besides some solid players coming in (recruit ranking wise) the last couple years and this next year seems to be pretty decent, if an outsider were looking in it would seem our program has big cracks in it.
DC leaving. New OC hired 9 games in, will he return? ST in total shambles will Foley get fired?  Cutting down our “program building walkon’s”  to the new 105, mid 40s in NIL, haven’t won s#!t in 10-12 yrs that matters, we barely beat teams we should and lose to every team in a close game.

if I were a KU, Iowa St, USC, Tenn or any other fan that we think we should compete with, I’d give a huge shoulder shrug if I were asked about Nebraska football. A big Meh on what they think of our program.

This bowl game is pretty big. The offseason is huge. What direction will we choose?

Im hearing that Matt Rhule clashed with Tony White and the 3-3-5 and wanted to play a more conservative defense and was looking to change the formation.

Speculation aside, what we know through their own words is that White's defense became more multiple to accommodate Rhule & staff's preferences vs various opponents.  We know the coverage went from a base man off to quarters & the formation was much more commonly a static 4-2-5.  I wouldn't describe any of these changes as more conservative, but you are naturally blitzing out of the 3-3-5 on virtually every play.

Did they clash?  Did Rhule want a more conservative defense?    I wouldn't pretend to know.  But, the fact White is moving laterally suggests there was probably too many chefs in the kitchen for his liking.
