Rumors Tony White to FSU

Fine.  He's making the changes we all see.  Good for him and I support him.  Excited to see who the new guys are (hopefully Holgorsen for OC) and see what they can do.
I support the changes. I hope he actually makes all the changes we mentioned. WR coach etc

My concern is getting it right this time it will they be comfort hires. A blue blood P2 school needs to hire best available or steal someone. Not I’m comfortable with this guy cause I know his dad or I coached with him 7 years ago in a totally different role.

I am optimistic but concerned at the same time

It will be interesting to see who he gets.  I'm guessing he has a lot better idea of who he wants now than the first time around, just getting fired out of the NFL and not being in the college game for a while.  Now, he's been around college for two years.  I'm sure he's put a lot of thought into who he would like to get on his staff.  He's known for a long time that he's going to have to replace White at some point.  I'm excited about Holgorsen if he sticks around.  If not, hopefully Holgorsen can help give recommendations for someone else.

Agree here. He can’t afford to be wrong this time bc he gets 2 more years max to build this thing. Remember, he wasn’t Dannen’s guy and ADs love to hire their “own” guys.

I have seen a few people say that there is more to it than guys leaving for better gigs, but have yet to hear what it is. If Rule wants to move to a 4-3, and that is “more to it”… then fine, not a situation at all, other than he knew White waste 4-3 guy to begin with. On the other hand, maybe after actually being in the Big 10 for 2 years, Rhule has made the decision that we NEED to be a 4-3 type

Hmmm...

Illinois

[edit]
In January 2021, a report surfaced that Walters was among three finalists to join Bret Bielema's new staff at Illinois. The other finalists were reportedly Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, and Arkansas defensive coordinator Barry Odom, Walters' former boss at Missouri. Odom eventually elected to stay with Arkansas, and on January 6, 2021, Walters was announced as the new DC for the Illini.[27][28] In 2022, the Illini defense under Walters was 2nd nationally in points allowed, 3rd in total defense, 3rd in yards per play, 1st in interceptions, and 1st in takeaways.[29] Walters was named a finalist for the 2022 Broyles Award, celebrating the nation's top coordinator. [30]

Hmmm...

Walters, a former Colorado safety, has a deep connection to the rivalry between the two schools. His dad, Marc Walters, played quarterback for the Buffaloes’ in the late 1990s during the early years of Ryan’s childhood. He grew up hating Nebraska and says those feelings do not go away.

“My history with Nebraska started at a very young age. Obviously grew up a fan at Colorado, my dad playing there, and that was the hated rivalry, right?,” Walters said Monday, via Boiler Sports Report. “And so you remove yourself from that as a coach, and the first time I got to play against Nebraska again was in 2021. My first season at Illinois. I just remember them running out of the tunnel in Champaign and the feelings just come back, right? It’s like, man, I really can’t stand that color. Don’t like that N on the helmet. And so definitely this has been a big week.”

Millions of dollars and a chance to climb the ladder again can erase a lot of that.

Well....that would make it interesting.

So at this point is Rhule just going to start over and try the whole “hiring a staff” over again since the first round was a failure.

Foley should be fired as special teams

satterfield has been demoted. Holgorsen hopefully takes over OC. Guessing satterfield gone so need TE coach, guessing Thomas the co-oc is gone since I doubt he wants a demotion and what did he do anyway?
WR coach should be let go because well why not

RB dude could go

Raiola will stay.

defense dc is leaving and taking dl with him. Butler prob takes dc job. So need db coach.

so literally next year the only 2 guys still in tact on the staff MIGHT be linebackers and offensive line.

Thats screams I s#!t the bed 2 years ago
At this rate - just get it over with.  Bring in a guy like the Indiana coach or Sanders who can bring in a group of players and coaching staff.  I'm so tired of coaching carousel here at Nebraska.   Chadwell at Liberty - get him and transfer in his group of players.  Yeah - I know this is premature and won't happen, but when Nebraska is now a stepping stone to other programs, it shows how much we have fallen.

You’re tired of the coaching carousel at Nebraska.  And you want to fire Rhule and bring in a new coach.

:insert banging head against wall gif:

It's obvious with this kind of thinking, TGHusker MUST be a booster of substance.
