I wonder if they were using Signal to communicateReading up a little on Ukraine's raid, that was some damned fine work, and amazing results.
One of the most shocking parts of the whole caper was that it was conducted by Ukrainian agents working inside Russia. In complete secrecy. Ukraine was able to drive trucks near four Russian air bases, unload cargo (huts), which contained the drones. Originally it seemed like they sent drones from inside Ukraine. While that would be bad, this is far worse. The drones were left near the bases, and then activated when it was time to strike. The trucks & huts appear to have been booby-trapped to burn after use.
If Ukraine can pull this off once, what's stopping them from doing it again? What other operations do they have lined up?
One report I read said Ukraine's strike may have knocked Russia out of Superpower status. They lost planes they can't replace, and cannot project power nearly as effectively.
To top it off, it appears that all of the "delivery drivers" were able to exfiltrate Russia before the attack. Ukraine appears to have lost no personnel in the operation. Just brilliant work.
The thing that bothers me about it is, now it seems to be known exactly how they pulled it off. Replicating an attack like that will now be more difficult (if Russia is remotely capable of discerning another similar attack). IMO, it would’ve been better to not release the info on how they accomplished it.Reading up a little on Ukraine's raid, that was some damned fine work, and amazing results.
