S Jason Hall [Texas - Signed LOI]

The same could be said about any recruit that has a good senior year. Yes it could get interesting around bowl time if he blows up on the recruiting trail. "Firm" is the best news we can have right now. But we are in early on him and got a pretty good shot of landing him. No committ is safe until signing day. We need to stay on this kid and go have a good year on the field.

 
Nebraska is still his only BCS offer, but he said, he is taking a look at Oklahoma St because of a prior relationship with newly-hired defensive backs coach Jason Jones. Does anyone know what the prior relationship was?

Marcus McWilson comes to mind as he was also our first verbal last year. Also a DB.

 
Wasn't Dixon our first verbal last year. After a few flip flops we landed him. No kids commitments means much this early. But I am glad to have this kid on our side early.

JP gave credit to TJ and Beck. TJ is the DB coach and Beck's area is Texas, and we were his first offer, probably got excited and wants to jump on the boat while (he feels) the offer is still good. We get atleast one of these a cycle, where they jump on board without visiting and then waiver when they start getting more offers. Just an educated guess.
