Right, just like Moos’ evaluation is still taking place. Some people believe everything they readNot true about Osborne and Moos. They met on October 15.
You can read it for yourself....

I don't get why Florida would go after Taggert. He really hasn't shown any sort of success in Oregon. Don't you think the Florida fans would go crazy bringing in someone that isn't coming from a winning situation?Brandon Vogel at Hail Varsity has some updated speculation on the UCLA/Florida/Nebraska situation as it pertains to Scott Frost.
The Smiley face was inserted as an edit after my reply BTW. It wasn't in there prior.Lighten up, DAN
Either him or his source. There's tons of people who claim knowledge of these things behind the scenes that simply isn't true.So you are calling Adam a liar. He literally said to Mike'l that Nebraska contacted UCF. 10:30 minute mark on the link that I have posted. Listen to it.
I think people are completely misreading Lars's tweet. All he said was they were "close" and that he was confident in the offer. He never mentioned or claimed to know anything about Frost's interest. It seems like all of his information is coming from the Nebraska side. Frost or his agent might have told Nebraska this was close, but who knows if that's just a negotiation tactic. Until it is official, everything is a rumor. Don't get to high or low on any of the information.Jeremy said:You have a point, but Frost did say rumors were 'totally false,' and I don't know if an AD is going to confidently say things like 'he's staying' when it could really end up as egg in his face if/when Frost would leave.
Basically, we have Lars saying Frost to NU is a done deal on one side, and then the UCF AD saying 'nope' on the other. I honestly don't know what to believe, but part of me thinks if it was happening, we'd have a better indication by now. I remember hearing from several people that Pelini was a done deal right after Osborne axed Callahan.

He was a far greater unknown and his name recognition was the single greatest reason anyone here found him interesting.
With 4 division crowns and 1 conference championship. They lost by 2 points in conference title game to the eventual national champion florida state.
No and no....Rittenberg said McElwain and Bert are in play.
And that's why...indeed you're right ♡1 minute ago, jessica0 said:

If Frost can brings Troy Walters with him, then no need to keep KW (and his baggage). Walters has been WR coach at A&M, NC St, CU, and UCF. Plus he was a Biletnikoff winner at Stanford and played 8 years in the NFL.
I do agree with you but I didn’t get the impression that his demeanor was communicating that Scott wasn’t coming which is what you said in this post. I think we are saying the sane thing but have a different opinion as to his body language? Matt is being a wise radio personality as well as a good friend to Scott by not getting involved in the rumor mill.
I agree with you.I agree that Scott is not getting involved in the rumor mill. He is working very hard to remain neutral in his body language and words when talking about Frost.
Does he knows one way or another? You can bet your bottom dollar he does. But Matt is not going tip his hand either way. Too much on the line.
Wikipedia shows 2008,2009,2012,2014. 2008 doesnt show a game was played not sure why.He has played in the ACC champ game 3 times. And one of those times made it with a 5-3 conference record. He has ended the year in the top 25 3 times in 10 years, and once in the last 8 years.
Bid for a more proven commodity or get a more unproven commodity cheaply.Having to potentially bid him up against other big programs is so much better.
Yeah......no.This would go over as well as hiring a really nice guy who has been coaching for 30 years in his mid 60's and has an overall .500 all time coaching record.

You have a long list of potential good coaches.......why would we go to these guys?No and no....
Well, long story, I have been a member for a few years but a few months ago somehow lost my login and password and had an old email address that I no longer had access to. Figured it was easier to create a new one rather than try to get the old one back. I believe I had a whopping 20 some odd posts on that one. I am not the sock puppet...lolUm ... this was your first post under your other identity!![]()
No media conspiracies today, but I heard some of the KFAB sports show with Sadler & Rosie and thought they laid out Frost's options pretty well. They were speculating that it may be better for Frost to stay at UCF and Rosiedidyaknowsi was talking about the possibility of UCF joining the Big 12 to have a better shot at the playoffs. Hey, maybe Nebraska could do the same and make it an even dozen? It's all just speculation but I could see Frosty doing that instead of running after the money.
All this QB talk. If we could block for them I think our QB talent would miraculously improve.
I think you are reading to much into it. He basically names them and Leach and Bohl as fall back options in the event of Frost going to UF. He ends it with “But after the Riley situation, Nebraska will likely have to go younger with this hire.”Rittenberg said McElwain and Bert are in play.

That went... in an unexpected direction. So is Moos going to go mad then?Moiraine said:Let's say he met with Frost in Philly.
Does that mean Moos actually was looking for a condo on Friday when the team flew to PSU? If not, why did he lie about that and not lie about the meeting with Frost?
Ok, I'll assume he wasn't lying and was looking for a condo AND met with Frost. Then he didn't lie but he's an Aes Sedai. But not a good enough Aes Sedai to trick people with the rest of his answer. I'll put him on like... Liandrin level.

I don't know what the whip is for.
Congratulations, Ashley & Scott.
That would suck. How long would this move take? The first time I've heard of UCF to the Big 12, was recently with the hype of Frost. A bird in the hand is worth is worth 2 in the bush.....Frost isn't one to back down from a challenge. He's seen what the Big 12 did to NU.......Between NU and a possible merger, I'm taking NU.No media conspiracies today, but I heard some of the KFAB sports show with Sadler & Rosie and thought they laid out Frost's options pretty well. Yessir, when I initially got word of Chip - which was the 10th the hire had already been cleared by SEC. That news didn't even come out till days later on the internet. My initial timeline was Monday at the earliest, end of the week at the latest based on what I was told. Tomorrow we see.
I've talked to my folks daily since then to see what's going on and it's literally contracts. Chip and his people want what they want, and they want it all in writing. Then I got the assistants being vetted piece.
So between Friday and now there have been things thrown into the negotiation that Chip wants, and that UF wants to do their due diligence on before committing to. Be it facilities, incentives, assistants (who they are, what is the budget to pay them), etc. This whole week has been contract talk. The difference between what's happening now and say Coach Boom and Coach Mac is a bigger fish. A guy that's been around, a guy that has a plan of action already that require certain pieces, this dude literally knows exactly what he wants to do and how he wants to go about it. He knows how to win and knows what he'll need to win here.
Outside of "it's being ironed out, it's happening, be patient" I got nothing. Once both sides get the legal mumbo where they want it it'll be announced. I don't think he's asking for anything outlandish to make UF back off.
No news is good news right now. Because the only other news that could come about outside of the hire being announced is that things fell through. We'd rather it be quiet while they hash out the details.
Disclaimer: The only UCF game I've watched this year is the UCF-USF game on Friday. From looking at the seasons box scores and what I saw of their defense the other day I'll be quite content if their DC stays and gets promoted to interim HC.Who do you guys want as Defensive Coordinator?
UCF-USF was the first UCF game I've watched but I've seen the box scores from the other games and how he turned around that program. Frost looks downright scary and if he can get the recruits he'd need I think he'd do extremely well in Lincoln...but I'm curious about the Defense. One thing I've always admired about you guys is the blackshirt tradition, it would be cool to see that make a come back.
Yeah, I think Taggart would be a great fit at Florida. Don't hold his current record at Oregon against him. He knows Florida and the Southeast U.S. well. From Bradenton Florida (sound familiar?)
Coached at USF for 4 years before going to Oregon (has ready built relationships with Florida high schools)
Went 19-7 his last 2 years at USF, turning them around from a 3-9 team he took over
