jessica, any new internet rumors about Frost?

Haven't looked. I suspect things will be pretty calm today and through Saturday. Next week should still be pretty calm. After that I think things will heat up. What I am watching for are two things - new names appearing for FL (meaning SF is fading with them) or rumors of NE and SF.

See the problem is that we don't want to do the work. We want everyone to have some semblance of control. I got a PM yesterday saying let the kids have their fun. The problem is if we let little things slide it ends up turning into this nonsense. Folks need to learn when enough is enough so the mods don't have to get heavy handed. Believe me, none of us want to go around hiding multiple pages of posts. 

Everyone needs to learn when it's gone to far. 

Correct, it gets a little overwhelming to have to run all over the board to hide posts, delete posts, lock threads, etc at times. Let's do a better job of policing ourselves here folks and tone the crazy, gif bombs, and off topic down in the threads. I'm also excited about things, but let's use better judgement.

I thought the general goofiness was a nice distraction while waiting for the season to end. Probably nothing factual about SF will come out until then. I understand the Mods have to do their jobs and keep us children in line though.

 In fairness, most of our fan base, if given the choice between the Cornhuskers returning to greatness and curing cancer would probably choose the former.

S***, this is a tough one. Can we cure childhood cancers and settle for 9 wins and an occasional fit of extreme competence?

Assuming Donte Williams, Keith WIlliams and JP are retained, fill out Scott Frost's staff for how you see it playing out. 

IMO, he will bring his DC. His WR/OC coach will try to get the UCF head coaching job. He will bring his strength coach, his RB coach, his OL coach. I bet he promots Rudd to LB coach. 

I might be the only one that likes your B.S./inside sources, whatever it is. Some enthusiasm, whether false, is nice around here. Let's goooo.

If Frost does come to Nebraska, I don't want him to bring Mario Verduzco with him as the QB coach. Went to a UNI camp a few years ago. Guy's a massive psycho

I was thinking about this last night as I was trying to sleep but I can't remember for the life of me if there's ever been such a head coaching candidate that the fan base would get behind like Frost AND the administration has been open about their gushing feelings for the man. 

It gives me the sense that they're zeroed in on SF.

He could be announced as soon as Sunday, Dec. 3rd or Monday, Dec. 4th (assuming UCF is in the American Conference Championship Game on Sat. Dec. 2nd).

Frankly, I think that the fan's annoying, insipid "Gator Chomp" would be enough to dissuade me from taking the Florida job, no matter HOW much it paid. That thing drives me NUTS.

I don't know 'bout you all, but the anticipation is killing me. Multiple reports from all different directions saying contradictory things. I try to be hopeful, but like most of you, the last 16 years have really beaten the hope out of me. I know, not every year was horrible, but Frost coming back home would, at least for me, renew that hope I felt after Black 41 Flash Reverse. Been a long time, ladies and germs, but I have a feeling the Big Red might be coming back...
