Seriously, Schiano is a good college coach. What he did at Rutgers was pretty amazing. Mullen is a good coach as well, and has prior success at Florida. He also has an impressive track record of working with quarterbacks, an area Florida has really struggled with lately.

But both hires are hard to get thrilled about...for each school it’s settling for a second or third choice.

Sumlin is out at A&M. Just announced.

Sure good coaches.  But not good enough to average 9 wins a season.

Scott Frost is a smart guy. If he is to leave for a P5 conference, his best option is Nebraska, his alma mater, because he knows that the fans will be patient and will appreciate the team playing hard and competing more so than an immediate conference championship. He will have an entire state supporting him like they did with Osborne. Going to Florida is a horrible decision. Plus it is easier to explain to his players leaving to go to his alma mater than leaving to go to Florida. Even ESPN analysts are already linking Tennessee with Dan Mullen and not Frost. From THE MOOS interview, it seems he was calm because he knew that he is going to give the fans what they want and he appreciates the fans for being so patient. I think it is just a matter of waiting until after the conference championship to announce. Hopefully next Sunday or Monday by the latest.

The Sumlin firing is to perfect for all twitter Nostradamus’s of the interwebs.  Another domino that can change “situations” and “reports”
