Speaking of Akron, I remember hearing on the radio during the Akron game that one of the Akron players peed himself on the field and they had to take a time out to clean it up.
He didn't pee himself, he actually puked on the field. It was an afternoon game that was on August 30th, and it was so dang hot during that game.
High temperature that day was 90 degrees, with a heat index at about 2pm of 93. Humidity peaked at about 50% during the game. It was pretty muggy, with only about a 9mph breeze. Those late August games can be brutal, especially down on the field.

I took my son to the So Miss game in 2012. That game was so dang hot, and with the new additions that have been built recently, the hot air gets trapped in the stadium. There were people passing out all over the stadium due to the heat.

I remembered wrong. I remember the booing and my teenaged self was excited to see London. I even remember the UCF game, just not that it was the same game. But I believe y'all now.
Another thing about the Akron and Central Florida games was that Osborne played those games pretty vanilla on offense. He was saving the designed QB traps and other designed runs for Frost until the Washington game.

In the Washington game, I remember everyone thinking "wow, Frost is amazing!!!" (well, maybe St. Paul didn't think that).
Frost's 2 TD runs for 64 yards were pretty great in that 1st quarter. He had 16 other runs for a total of 33 yards. And he passed for a whopping 88 yards.

"Wow, Frost is amazing!"

"Wow, Frost is amazing!"

Not sure why you're so adamant about pooping in Frost's quality of play, but this was still in an era before quarterbacks started becoming the entire offense and putting up video game numbers. At the time he was only the 10th player to ever have a 1,000 yard passing and 1,000 yard rushing season.

Let's put it this way - most Nebraska fans think Tommie Frazier got robbed of the Heisman and is arguably/probably the greatest college quarterback of all time. Frost threw for pretty much the same amount of yards at the same completion percentage (8 less touchdowns), ran for 400 yards more and 5 more touchdowns than Tommie did.

He was a finalist for the Unitas and the O'Brien awards, and he played his best in the biggest games.

I think Frost was a good QB.

I think Frost was a good QB but I refuse to ever say anything remotely flattering involving Tom Osborne, Lawrence Phillips or Scott Frost.

I have always thought Tom Osborne was a great coach. I just happen to disagree with his handling of certain issues. And I think he was bad at being an AD.

I don't believe I have ever said anything bad about LP other than he shouldn't have been allowed back on the field at all in 95. I think he is, arguably, the best RB in the history of the game. Or at least could have been.

Scott Frost was a fine QB. I don't believe Frost was a "Great" QB.

There shouldn't be anything that incendiary about these opinions. And furthermore, I would have let things go had ColoradoHusk not brought me back into it.

also due to not drinking enough water prior and during the game

You telling me beer isn't a good water substitute?

A QB with almost the same stat line as the best quarterback in school and maybe college football history is only 'fine'. Hmm.
One was a runner up to the Heisman and one wasn't even listed in the Top 10.

One won the Unitas Award. One didn't

One was a 1st team All American. One wasn't

One was named to a College Football All Century Team. One wasn't.

But yeah. Their stats are equal.

I agree that Frazier was a better QB than Frost, but you kept on throwing out Frost's statistics as a way to make his career not as good as a lot of people think his career was.

Frost's stats were very comparable to Frazier, but both brought quite a bit to the table in terms of leadership, and getting the offense in position to be great offenses.

YOU said Frost developed into a better QB from 96-97. He didn't. Doubling your rushing yards isn't a viable indicator of "Developing a ton" as a QB. He was arguably a better QB in 96

Frazier's stats vs Frost when comparing the last 2 years isn't quite fair due to Frazier having blood clots and only playing 4 games

And I just said he wasn't great. I think it's time you let it go. There isn't a stat or intangible you can list that will change my mind. It's my opinion. Move on
