In all seriousness....new shoes? I'd like to think they are wearing shoes that are already broken in, etc. New, unworn shoes doesn't seem like such a great idea to me.

You don't really have to break shoes in anymore. I don't think they're that different than the usual shoes, and they probably have/will wear them at some point just to be comfortable with them.

You'd be surprised at how much shoes mean to high school/college-aged kids. I've seen teens camp out all night just to get a new pair of Jordans when they are released.

 
I hope Jamal Turner doesn't get distracted by them. I can see him running 100 yards, sideline to sideline, and staring at his own feet, thinking "wow these are freaking sweet". Then thinking he should have taken it to the house because the shoes are cool.
