Sure, we can go to the Pinstripe Bowl in New York and lose to a 6 - 6 Duke or a 5 - 7 Virgina Tech.
For people to more accurately evaluate a team's strength. We just went head-to-head with the number 3 team in the country. Three weeks ago we beat a top ten team. What the hell do you want? No. Three more practices with this staff could really set us back heading into next year. This is one case where less is more.
Like I said, go take that to another thread. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/77697-should-the-huskers-accept-a-bowl-gameNo thank you. No bowl deserved.
I think the Kraft Mac N Cheese Participation and Effort Bowl will probably offer us a spotEveryone deserves a "trophy" in this day and age.
Go here: http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/77697-should-the-huskers-accept-a-bowl-gameYes. Are you kidding?
The extra practices are extremely valuable, and these players deserve any opportunities they are offered for their work and effort, regardless of results.
This is the thread to track whether a 5-7 team (us) will get into a bowl.
Look, I know at 5-7 we don't deserve a bowl. But let's not discuss that here, nor how the whole bowl system should be overhauled. Please, keep it on track. And don't whine if I call you out for getting off track with the same old arguments.
And no, I'm not excited about this. But I am interested. If you're not, just skip this thread.
Washington wins to go 6-6, so they get a bowl. Missouri loses and drops to 5-7. San Jose St is about to lose and go 5-7. 5-6 Buffalo down by 11 late in the 3rd. Georgia St still alive at 5-6 but they probably won't be favored next week again Georgia Southern. Texas dropped to 4-7 last night.
Seems like more of the border teams are taking themselves out than not, so we may back into a bowl. Anyone do a count yet? I probably will later tonight.
I'm confused. I started this thread right after our loss but now it's gone. Why was it pulled? This is the thread to track whether a 5-7 team (us) will get into a bowl.

VA Husker Fan already had this thread discussing Nebraska's bowl prospects. I merged your thread to avoid redundancy. This is the thread to track whether a 5-7 team (us) will get into a bowl.

I am surprised 'everything' is such a small set.relevance, reputation.I'd like to see this list of everything.NO. it's a nothing to gain game if we do. Everything to lose.
you know, the things that matter to recruits.

count me in as a pouty baby, but I'll be watching the NHLAbsolutely yes! If you are such a pouty baby that you don't want to watch anymore, the NBA season is in full swing.
Hopefully, recruits aren't that stupid...While I'm not thrilled at the prospect of being invited at 5-7, saying no reeks a bit of arrogance. So you accept with a smile on your face and try to spin it to recruits as positively as you can.
