We just went head-to-head with the number 3 team in the country. Three weeks ago we beat a top ten team. What the hell do you want?

Coming into this weekend, there were 18 teams not yet bowl eligible but with a chance to go 6-6 or better, with 9 spots to fill. Looks like 5 so far, including us, won't be 6-6, with Buffalo on the ropes. Only 1 of the 18 has made it (Washington), with Ga State still alive for another week.

While I'm not thrilled at the prospect of being invited at 5-7, saying no reeks a bit of arrogance. So you accept with a smile on your face and try to spin it to recruits as positively as you can.

Hopefully, recruits aren't that stupid...
