Should Watson have to start answering some questions?

Does anyone else feel like maybe Watson should have to answer for why this offense is basically two dimensional? All any opponent has to do is key on Burkhead first, then look for Martinez. The O-line coach does come under the Offensive Coordinator, doesn't he? And the O-line has been in this "developmental" stage for more than 4 years under Watson.

Why don't we have any other running backs that are "serviceable", even with the woes of the O-line?

Why is Martinez the best we have, after all the so called "great gets" in recruiting the past few years? Is there maybe a problem with the recruiting? Like may they are not judging whether these kids can play at the speed of the NCAA? What happens if Martinez goes down? We have not seen much of anyone other than Martinez, probably because Watson don't have any faith in any of these so called backups.

This offense is way too predictible now. Before it was too complicated. So what is the answer now? Where is the next great running back going to come from after Burkhead graduates? Sure haven't seen anyone that looks like they could play more than a series, and in that series actually get past the O-line.

Would love to have Watson come up with some new answers, because what I am seeing now with the offense is not going to win our division in the Big Ten, let alone a NC, like Martinez claims he will be disappointed if we don't play for.

Think it is time for a reality check...starting with the people at the top.

Watson was fired last year. Beck is the OC now.

The answer for dimensions is all about Taylor, I think.

Limited dimensions, but very good at them - or that is the idea.

You go right ahead and call him down at Louisville. I'm sure he'd love to talk to you about the Nebraska offense this year !!!!!!!

How awesome would it be if you did make Watson answer for this year's offense despite his current employment...just call him up and grill him. That'd be pretty funny.

Shawn Watson? WTF?

All any opponent needs to do is make us fumble on the other side of the 50. All any opponent needs to do is have us drop passes. All any opponent needs to do is have our lineman false start. I could see how that could be the offensive coordinator of Louisville fault.

I KNEW that somehow Shawn Watson was behind this.

We should cut-and-paste this entire thread into the Shawn Watson thread in the shed.

Dang straight, he should have to answer questions! While you're at it call up Gilmore, and ask him why recievers keep dropping passes?

Thanks for the laugh this morning, HuskerTrucker!
