Should we add another Recruiting Forum Mod?

With Nexus gone for half a year and Signing Day looming, I think we should look into adding another dedicated Mod to the Recruiting forum.

Good idea?

 
I agree, assuming we can find someone that:

1. Can devote the time, particularly during the actual signing event.

2. Would make a good mod in general.

3. Knows recruiting.

Any suggestions? I know I see Mavric a lot in there, along with Warrior10 and Thanks_Tom RR. All of them have clean Warn Statuses, and see to be around often. Thoughts? Any other suggestions?

 
I agree on those guys you mentioned, I don't follow the recruiting as much as I used to, damn kids break my heart when they don't sign!

I was thinking Mavric also.

I don't know anything about Thanks_Tom RR, and only a little of Warrior10. Nothing from either of these guys jostles any alarms, though.

Would anyone mind if I PMed Mavric about the recruiting forum, just a general conversation with no Mod discussion, asking him how he likes recruiting and how much he follows it? Kinda gauge his overall interest to be sure he would even want to spend time watching the forum.

If he responds positively and nobody has any objections, we can broach the subject of becoming the Recruiting Mod. Although with Mavric I wouldn't be averse to making him a global Mod. Guy just seems to have a solid head on his shoulders and to be pretty well-liked by everyone.

 
Just sent him a PM about the DE recruit we lost. Told him I thought he followed recruiting closely and asked if he could give me any info on the guy, or who else we have coming in. Depending on how he responds to that I'll talk to him about Moderating.

I'd asked about making this guy Nexus 2.0, but if Mavric is interested, would everyone be OK with him becoming a global Mod? I think he'd be a good addition.

 
He's said yes. I just asked him if he'd want to take over where Nexus left off, meaning kinda the Recruiting stuff. But I think he'd be a great Moderator, and I'm wondering if we should have him join the full ranks.

I told him I'd get back to him, so let's decide what we want to do in the next couple of days.

 
Full mod. While we need someone who can and wants to concentrate on recruiting, no reason to limit him to that. Let me know when to set him up, and we can. We need to also state a thread here welcoming him and providing some information - I plan on giving him my name and email address, for example.
