Should we fire Satterfield??

I don't have an issue with where Raiola went on this throw but to act like there aren't short route options - outs and crossing patterns - is not an accurate assessment of the situation.

Layered outs and a crosser.  The routes are there, we just aren't throwing to them (either not open or choosing to go elsewhere).

One of the numerous articles that I read bagging Satt and how atrocious our offense is, mentioned shifting play calling and coordinating to Thomas. Curious on thoughts if that Would that make a difference? Also, isn’t Thomas supposed to be coaching up DR? So, in some regards the DR regression is also on him?

Also interesting is that rhule was an OC at temple! Wouldn’t have thought that with how the offense is performing right now.
We’re literally dead last in pretty much all major offensive categories in the p5 bucket of teams since Colorado. A f’n blind squirrel could probably find a nut and do better than the brain dead OC we’ve been subjected to for 21 games now

I'd rather find out if Brennan Marion is staying in Las Vegas and if UNLV can afford him.  It's just a matter of time before he is P4 OC with his Go-Go offense.
That would be great but we all know that's not going to happen.  Good luck to the team this weekend bc I'm pretty sure we aren't scoring any points this weekend.  We don't have a consistent run game and our offense is so predictable.  Matt Rhule is going to lose the support from the fans if he doesn't fire Satterfield after this season.  We all thought that Nebraska could and should make a bowl game this year but things are going down hill fast especially since Nebraska had a week off and looked lost.  Where are the leaders at??  Where are the established coaches at bc we certainly have developmental coaches or coaches that can't seem to get the results that are expected once they come here.  Im tired of seeing a product that doesn't seem to produce results only to hear apologies.  Is Matt Rhule worth the money that he is paid bc he is the one that brings these coaches on board and the team is regressing.

I do think there is validity to saying we shouldn't be throwing the WR screens if we never block them right.

But this is a pathetic effort by Benhart.  This play was there if get gets any piece of that guy in either of a couple different ways.

This is also something I've wondered about.  How many of the WR screens are RPOs or plays with other options that Raiola is choosing to throw to the screen.  There is a WR screen to the other side of the field so it looks like it was an option on this play.

DR has regressed imo as well, but that could be from any number of other issues.  I have become jaded with Rhules pick on the O side TBH.  WR's struggling, RB struggling, OL struggling, TE's struggling, QB struggling, red zone, rushing stats etc.....It's a complete disaster.  But again, with everything bad how can Rhule fix any of it.....Where do you even start.  No identity, no scheme, no leader......I have no idea.

I don't know if we found a different look or what but from here through the rest of the game our RB run game was probably the best it's been all season.  Against the best defense.

We've definitely run split zone before but I'm not sure we ran it out of this look.

Obviously a horrid call and I don't really have a problem with the shot here.  But it would seem that the primary look should have been to the bunch set with numbers to the other side.  Wide open short out that we could have thrown.

Iowa had an atrocious OC. They fired him and got some no name guy. They just hung 42 on Wis with a backup QB.

This isn’t rocket science.

Start by changing who call plays. That needs to happen before the next practice. Then just pick a group to focus on during practice RB, WE, or QB. Honestly the O line is the least concerning group this year.
