I have the impression you are lost in context or translation. I never said he had to only run wildcat, it was offered as an example of what other coaches have done to adjust their offense to win a game. Meaning a coach drafted a gameplan specifically to win a single game. 
 

You have got to be kidding about putting the defense under the bus in the final 4 games, or the special teams. You talk about “honest” dialogue and in the same breath make an excuse for how bad the offense was last year. Wow. 

 
I think Satterfield has some really nice play designs. Limited use of motion, but when used it’s been effective.  
Some fakes, some traps, some screens, and some nice long bombs.  He also just pounds it to see what the defense is offering. He doesn’t shy away from the running game. 

I do feel like he sticks to the ground game “until they stop it” mentality.  I like that.
He uses the TEs as good blockers on kickouts and traps. He pulls guards and uses misdirection pretty well. Again, w motion he disguises plays well to set up some things. 

I feel like his 4th down plays and goaline stuff has been real good. Have had good success on 4th down short yardage and goal line plays. Get down to the ~5 yd line and we score td’s this year. The passes on fades and 1v1 inside the 10 can be better, admittedly.  That will come, and need experience. 
And we can all (I hope) agree using the Power I on goal line has been very successful. Love seeing the Power I work for us again. 

Raiola is only a freshmen and has been as good as advertised thus far.  As good as a freshman can be coming onto a LOSING team. He has for sure made enough plays to help us and keep us in games.  Dylan has had maybe 3-4 just bad passes a game, 2 resulted in INT.  But overall has been a major upgrade in our passing game. 
 

We have an OL that at least has multiple years of experience.  They aren’t great yet, but they are very serviceable. We get 4-6 yds on some carries, sometimes break a tackle or two and make first downs.  We get red zone efficiency and score tds on the goaline and 4th downs.  

With a freshman QB this is what we want.  Use his talents but don’t expect him to win every game w his arm.  The Blackshirts have been great to allow our offense to get s#!t done when it matters.  The defense has been great 
 

Long/Short….we have a winning formula as evidenced by our record. We are not gonna win games 42-17 until next year.  We are in a grind and so far the grind has us w more wins than losses.  Feels good. 
Feels better than the last 6 years sitting at 2-4 wondering why we suck so bad when we could’ve been better.

So much this.  Save Purdue, Satt has been abysmal in the 2nd half. Their DC's adjust and Satt has no answer.  History says he's a lower tier OC.  If we want to get to where we want to be Satt will not be the guy to get us there.  And all of the Rhule and Co playing it safe in the 2nd half, teaching the team to win is BS.  Satt gets shut down in the 2nd half.  Satt needs to be shown the door at the end of the season. 

 
As long as we have the lead in the 2nd half IDGAF how we win. 
But yeah it’s been bad.  2nd half leads can be kept by good special teams, making a FG here and there, good punting/field position  and coverage which we suck at. Besides Buschini of late, he’s a bright spot after shanking so many last year. 
We need to be better at tempo, running, and strategy in the 2nd half for sure. 
but damn, we have a freshman QB and a really good defense. I’ll take all the wins, let’s just get better at closing out. I’m sure this bye week those issues will be addressed.

The guys on the other side of the ball are pretty talented also, and are coached by some smart people.  Even if they seem mediocre some weeks, sometimes the matchup is just bad or lines up perfectly.

A little bit of that, maybe. But based on six games of evidence, most Niners fans feel the entire team is mentally out of synch. Tons of talent but not enough mojo, urgency, or closing power. They call it a Super Bowl hangover and that may be a real thing. Fans are actually tougher on the players than coaches right now. 

Between the Niner's red zone problems, special teams meltdowns, and injured kickers, I sometimes mix up my Saturday and Sunday games. Seriously.
