BC got more hype for his early recruiting (thanks in part to Tom Lemming), but Pelini's recruiting was right there with him if you judge by stars. I'll be pleased if Riley can get to that level. His second four star recruit is a start, but only that.

That said, great job here by the staff. Kid looks like a talent.

 
In any type of sales job which recruiting/coaching is you had better hire people that have connections and you better hope they use those connections.

Welcome Marquel! I already like this kid...truth be told...this is my high school...Go Coyotes!

I was at this high school before Marquel was born. We weren't too good in football back then but have come a long way. Calabasas has some famous alums...Jim Rome! Rick Schroder (Silver Spoons, NYPD Blue), Elizabeth Berkley (Saved By the Bell), Incubus (the band), and Erik Menendez (yikes!).

I still live in CA but not near Calabasas anymore. Besides having star football coaches I believe the baseball team was coached by Bret Saberhagen as well as a short stint by Rob Dibble.
