SIGNED - DE Daishon Neal

@Sean_Callahan: Back in February Jay Ball told me one coach said "you are going to get a lot of people coming to Central looking at this young man (Neal)."
The interview I linked in post 4 has that quote. Neal had been getting attention from Oklahoma St and just got back from a visit this week. Okie St coaches down there were surprised Nebraska had not found him earlier.
Word also that ucla is sticking their nose in too.

When you click the 247 link it will show a column to the right called "skills" and it rates the recruit on different skill sets out of 9 possible points (size, frame, quickness). Is there a description on how they determined each skill? Pretty sure if you are a 6'7-6'8 240lbs DE that should get you 9/9 on size instead of 8/9

247 Rating Explanation (free):

Neal we rated as an 84 or a mid to low 3-star. He's more of a projection. Love his length. He's got a pretty good get-off and obviously with his frame he can develop into a really unique prospect. We had a chance to see him out at the NIke Camp over the weekend though and it's clear that he's not there yet. He's tall and skinny and a little bit uncoordinated right now. Will be fun to see what kind of a senior year he has. If he starts to organize his body a little bit, he could be a guy to take another look at in October.

Attending Rivals Camp series in Chicago May 4th.
Is our entire recruiting class attending this camp?
Just those four (that I know of).

Very happy to have Neal. I have a feeling when he plays TE as well his senior year his recruiting will blossom just because of his potential on both sides of ball. His frame is to hard to ignore, and id be SHOCKED if he wasnt rated by all 3 services after he gets into a few camps, and senior season begins! GBR nice get
