Certainly good news, but definitely not a slam dunk yet - from the article above:

"Newell visited USC in March and Nebraska in June. He will announce the choice at his school August 30th and said there is no leader."

 
SCar got a DT commit yesterday. If they are also leading for Lamin, perhaps that makes Newell's choice a little easier.

 
Anyone else getting a little nervous? I know most say it is a slam dunk for Newell, but the recent articles are pulling quotes like that he has no leader, doesn't know yet. Maybe it is just the waiting for two months or that a lot of our eggs are in this basket.

If he isn't a Husker I will be completely shocked. Shocked isn't even the word to use.

There were some rumblings that he was a silent commit a few weeks ago, but I don't think they were true.

 
Actually feeling better about it. SCar now has two DT recruits this year and we're a lot closer to home. Really like our chances.

 
Well everyone is picking us. And not everything is 100% accurate in recruiting. And judging by his twitter he looks like he iss still very undecided.

From what I heard, South Carolina does not want another DT in this class. If that's true, he has no other choice lined up that has been said. It's always been said between SC and DONU.

 
It's been SC vs NU for a bit now. It's pretty much locked and loaded that he will commit here. Just waiting for the BOOM..
