How much will he weigh by the start of the 2013 season? Any chance he hits 260? This dude's pretty skinny:

Highly doubt it. Good thing is he's a 3 for 3 guy. I really think this kid opens up our defensive play book big time. A 3-4 defense becomes very possible with him at OLB.

He is 240 now. I don't think he will gain 20 pounds and I don't think we would want him to. 240-245 is probably a good weight. Keep in mind he has already been in college for 2 years, so it's not like he is a HS kid coming into a real weight training program for the first time.

I'll take that bet. I doubt if the JC training facilities and staffing at his current set-up are equivalent to what he'll be exposed to here.

I'm guessing he will be 260 by his senior year.

I'm not saying our facilities and training table are comparable to a junior college. Clearly they are better here and clearly he has the ability to gain weight here, so I wasn't betting against him doing it. His biggest asset is his speed, that is his specialty. So what I was saying is that I don't think we will TRY to get him to gain a bunch of weight. 245 is a pretty solid weight for an athletic pass rusher DE.

This guy really gets me excited. He could gain s little weight but i wouldn't want him to put a bunch on. I want speed on the end.

This is what his coach has to say about him......if what he says doesn't get you excited to see him on the field next year, time to pack up and watch soccer.

“In my opinion, Randy Gregory will be a top 5 draft pick.”

This guy fits a big time need, particularly with our only real pass rusher graduating. I hope he has the ability to step in as an every down player, but even a pass rush specialist, he should be an important addition.

On passing downs I would love to see a line-up like this...

T. Brown - Ankrah - McMullen - Gregory
