SIGNED DT Todd Peat

Todd Peat Jr. took an unoffical visit to USC for their spring game and came away impressed with USC's offense and two freshman Dillon Baxter and Kyle Prater instead of USC's defense. Todd Peat Jr. said that USC has great academics and has done real well in the NFL draft the past 3 NFL drafts.

Although he got to meet the coaches, this unoffical trip didn't sway Todd in either way.

Last month Peat sent USC his junior game film out to USC for evaluation but unfortunately the film never made it to Heritage Hall. When snail mail doesn't get the job done, hand delivery is the next option. Todd Peat Jr. hand delivered his game film to USC during his visit and said that they were suppose to evaluate his film a while ago but never did.

Even if USC does evaluate his game film they probably won't offer him a scholarship because they're telling Todd to come out to there Trojans Rising Star camp in June where 60% of their scholarships come after the camp. Sounds like their kind of slow playing Peat in my opinion.
Hopefully that is a good thing for us then.

There's no slow playing at Nebraska... he's got a scholarship, he's probably getting a few phone calls from NU, and we will welcome him and show him a good time when he comes up to Lincoln for an Official in the fall...

Says that Stanford is the one to beat.

He plans to make return trips to Stanford and Wake Forest this spring or summer along with going to Nebraska and Georgia.

He says ASU and Stanford are the teams to beat, then "Nebraska, Wake Forest, and Alabama." He will most likely give Nebraska an official visit this fall.

If we can get an official, I think we can nab this kid. He can just sit there and marvel at Crick and his path of destruction.

Yeah! Get him in on 10/16. The atmosphere, the stadium, the game, the team...I think he'll have to reconsider everything he previously thought up until that point. :koolaid2:

Standford is the clear favorite as of right now. Peat really likes the defensive staff and Chester McGlockton defensive interm coach for Stanford was a teammate with Todd Peat's dad with the Oakland Raiders. Wherever Todd Peat goes his younger brother Andrus Peat a 2012 offensive tackle recruit that Nebraska is also going after will probably follow his older brother.

Sounds like we're in pretty good shape with him.

Caveat: I think I've read the name Ndamukong Suh more than any other player or coach when reading about defensive recruits. He is going to be a powerful recruiting tool for the staff for next 10 years.

SUUUUUHHHHH!!!!!!

next 1-2 years definately. kids have short memories

He is planning to visit in July with his little bro. He plans to narrow things down to 7/8 schools by the end of the summer but a few stand out....Standford, Nebraska, Arizona, and Arizona State. He is going to spend June 21-22 at Stanford.
