Before I moved from Texas I lived 70 miles south of Abilene. I got a chance to see this kid play 3 games. He is the REAL DEAL! Eventhough I don't really buy into the "verbal commitment" until after they sign their name, I think this is a really big get!

some lsu lb commit just decommited, looks like they might offer him again.

Hope he stays if they do.
Did some investigating on the LSU boards just now and looks like their lb decommit was more or less shown the door from Miles. The lb decommit is from Florida and looks to be the state's leading tackler as well.

Yea, I agree, hopefully Williams sticks with us and LSU isn't taking Texas' leading tackler over Florida's.

I can't remember the last time i wanted to a guy to stay committed so badly... Chris Williams can come in and play as a true freshmen here... yeah i don't know about LSU... might sit a year there but whatever he decides you just gotta respect his decision

I read an article on his commitment and he was saying that his school has a tradition of a Blackshirt defense as well. He also said that he is VERY excited to go to a school where he can carry on with that tradition for another 4 years. Sounds promising to me!

I hope it's not career threatening. Either way, it's really much tougher on the kid than on the Huskers. Here's to a full recovery.

Chris had a very serious knee injury at last nights game

It is not looking good at this point

So what is the "very serious knee injury"???

I realize no injury is a "good" injury but for example if it was an ACL it isn't necessary to call it "very serious". I tend to think that we wouldn't know what is wrong with his knee so I don't see how we can label it as "very serious" unless you happen to be his physical therapist???

With sports medicine the way it is a ACL is something that can heal stronger, and be at full recovery in 8 months. A broken fibula is much more serious more likely than his "serious knee injury". Don't think i'm jumping on you, I just wouldn't want everyone to get all worked up over an injury that maybe looked "very serious" but in reality isn't.

Whatever the injury, lets hope he makes a quick recovery.
