Sounds like he will end up going the way of Afalava. Getting in late so will probably redshirt and get ready to go next year.

That would be my guess as well. Probably pretty similar to the Afalava situation last year.

Agreed, similar situation with Marcus. I'm glad he's finally going to get here, I thought for sure we had another CJ or Heard situation.

I would think with as difficult as Bo's defense is to learn

, he would be way too far behind to make an impact this year. Redshirt him and have some talent to use next year.

Huge news that he made it...for next year. I personally thought Newby's film was the best of all our LB recruits.

He will arrive on campus tomorrow. He will start classes Monday. He will redshirt this year and learn the defense. This eases my concerns at the LB position. We needed an extra body there, especially with it looking like we'll see 2-3 guys burn redshirts at that position this year... this will give us an extra guy staggered a year back, will give him some time to add good weight, and will ease our recruiting needs at that position for next year.

It looks like Love may end up redshirting as well, so we might have a pretty good group staggered a year behind. I really like walk-on Jack Fordon as well and I'm guessing the only reason he was not on the 105 this year is because he is still getting over an injury from his senior year. Great news about Newby!
