Basically Pitt stole our cookie gift to official visiting recruits. Why cant other team find their own ways to impress. Eileens cant be beat beeatches!

Plz. He is a local guy and he has stated since day 1 that he is going to visit some other places. If he flips it would not surprise me bc it is what Pitt did and not what we didn't. Coaches throw everything they can at recruits to get them to commit. We aren't the 1st staff to use cookies

It's a cookie cake.....not a "gift" we do that for every recruit that visits too. Every school does it.

Pretty sure I read that Sohthern Miss coach Todd(?) Monken has bought his seniors suits the past two seasons out of his own pocket. I also read in the article that they are allowed up $425 of "gifts" without committing any infractions.

I did not know that! I thought they had so many restrictions now that they could not give anything.

If the football team buys its players something at fair market value then it is fine. Though I'm sure there is some fiscal limit. "Shenanigans" occur when athletes are given benefits outside the university by boosters, etc that are not available to the rest of the student body. Buying players on recruiting visits generally falls into the second category.
