SIGNED - LB Tyrin Ferguson

I wouldn't say we took him from Oregon State... I'd say Bray/Riley are merely honoring THEIR commitment to him as they move to Nebraska.

What other commitments did Oregon State have?

They have a nice TE and S... After that it's pretty bare id say.
ASU and USC already talking to the TE

Welcome Ferguson!

His highlights show an athlete who can slip off his blocks, and with an expert coach, he should develop. Hope Bray is up to the task.

Santos may have been reported to have run a 4.6. If you believe HS reported 40 times, I've got a recruiting web site for you to subscribe to...

Which is a 4.7 handheld which most are. And I bet with 1 lesson with a speed coach he could have it down .1 at least easy. Give me football speed overy track speed in a LB'er anyday.

There are many linemen that run electonically timed 5 second fourties. Im sorry but that's slow. Maybe he makes up for it with pass and run recognition but that is slow for his position.

There were 5 in the whole NFL combine last year....and that is as 22-23 year old men. Not as a 17 year old kid. I agree it is not the ideal speed, but obviously the coaches like something in him.
