You can sign 25 per year. There really isn't a limit on early enrollees as long as you stay below that number and below 85 total (B1G allows 88 on signing day as long as you get back down to 85 by summer).

The only thing the early enrollees matter is you can count them back towards last year's class to play games with the 25 limit. If you signed 20 last year and want to sign 30 this year, you could take 5 early enrollees that could count back towards last year's number so both classes would officially be 25.

The other catch with the early enrollees is you still can't be over 85 at any one time - the 88 rule is because most freshmen aren't showing up until summer which would be after several of the seniors have graduated or are otherwise no longer enrolled. I believe the Huskers are currently at 84 scholarships. So for every early enrollee they take, one current scholarship player would have to graduate or otherwise no longer be enrolled. Looks like we had a bunch of graduates Saturday so that's probably not an issue. The other option is the early enrollee can pay their own way for a semester and be put on scholarship this summer.
