I always get a little worried with commits take visits elsewhere. I can see where he is coming from since he committed last year and isn't going through the process like a lot of his peers. He's probably getting a little "itchy" to see what else is out there.

Maybe Cav can get in his ear.

 
Was going to attend BRW this weekend but has an AAU basketball tournament. Is having his tonsils out Monday so he'll see how's he's feeling before deciding to attend the second BRW next weekend.

I'd be surprised if he made it next weekend. That's not very much recovery time for a tonsillectomy. It'll probably be a couple weeks before he'll feel like himself.

What made you commit to the Huskers so early when you picked last September?

I was just visiting there for a home night game, and you know that song they play — what is it, “Sirius” — before they walk out? The fans were going crazy and I just got a feeling that I just didn’t get anywhere else, so I just decided right then and there to pull the trigger.

So you commit, then the coaching staff got fired. What was going through your mind when that happened?

It didn’t really bother me, to be honest. I had a feeling that could happen either before I got there or soon after I get there, so I tried to make my decision based on other aspects of the school and not the coaching staff.
