No reason it can't happen with Farmer then, right?They have time spent learning our offense and the technique of playing OL, not to mention learning how to deal with the physicality of the position at the college level day after day.
It's rare enough for a kid to be physically ready to play OL as a true freshman, and Tanner looks like he could be one of those physical freaks, but being mentally ready as well is a whole nother thing.
How many true frosh can you recall starting at OL for NU? Not very many and there's a reason for that.
Moore did recently due to injuries and lack of depth, but we don't lack depth at Guard currently. Fonoti did back in the day, but he was a freak of nature. I hope Tanner can force his way on the field as well, but it's extremely unlikely.
I know what you're saying, I just think that Farmer is going to be one of those kids that will push the players we already have. That type of competition is good for everyone.
