That sounds like good news to me. After such a long visit I'd be surprised if we didn't get a commitment from him.

pretty sure the question is whether we want him or not.
Well he has an offer, so I assume the coaches would accept his verbal if he gives it.

What are the coaches going to do, tell him not to commit so that they can continue to wait on Sarao? That doesn't seem like a very wise strategy to me.
It happens all of the time (and I do mean all the time) with every major program in the country.
true, but i'm betting we'll take his commitment if he gives one. can't imagine we'd have him and his family up without being willing to take the commit, particularly when sarao seems firm to stanford (whether or not we backed off on him, which i believe we did).
We brought Harold Mobley in last year from Cali, he had an offer, and even publicly announced he was going to NU, we didn't accept it, and now he's headed to CU. It happens.

If he committs will we still go after another LB ? A lot of talk we only take one in this class has that changed with the move to the big ten where the run game is more common attack.
If we let Santos commit, we will only take ONE more LB in this class....Dexter Moody.

EZ mentioned another LB too. Keith Lewis (maybe his name or something like that?) Do you think we would take him if he jumped before Moody?

This is a pure guess, but if we take Santos and Lewis, I would guess that we keep the contact open with Moody solely because we have a long jam of sophomores at linebacker it seems. He would be a good one to take if we have any attrition at the position. Not that we are expecting any, just that it would be logical. Make sense?

was at a wedding reception by the train station today, saw santos, he actually walked into the building we were in looking lost and turned around. Don't want to sound negative on the kid, but he didn't look 6'1" and 205.

Hey guys, i'm a newbie but honestly, since it's not looking good on Sarao, Santos is the next best for NU, he will be a :bigredn: by the weekend. I'm a Husky fan as well but i've been an NU fan for almost as long so don't dog on me too much. Should be a good game this upcoming season and best wishes to whooping Texas, I didn't want them in our conference when that whole shift was rumored. It was a heartbreaker that it ended the way it did.

From sounds of it Bo's likely to accept his commit. It'd be real awkward to have another Harold Mobley situation...why tell Rivals/Scout before making it official?
