More and more, it appears that we should not be recruiting Jamal Turner as a QB ... he should be brought on staff as a recruiter from the start!

16 of 40??? Ummm....sounds like he's got the running part down at least. With our log jam at quarterback I'd really like to see him on the field in some aspect but not sure if I see him as a starting qb. Glad to have him all the same and look forward to seeing just how he gets utilized. Horrible news about his mother also.

You never know what the talent around you is like. Jamal could be a good passer but just have receivers who can't create space or he likely faced numerous blitz packages forcing him to throw it quickly / away.

Russell Sheppard. That is how Jamal hopefully is used. While learning the nuances of the QB position, let him run nuts on defenses as a slot receiver/scat back. If the QB thing doesn't play out how he hopes, we'd have ourselves a playmaking freak that could line up anywhere. Oh the mismatches....even a Barney Cotton type OC wouldn't be able to screw that up.

I've been wanting Turner to be our own little Percy Harvin ever since Martinez has shown that he can be our starting QB this year. Give him all the chances to win the starting QB job (best player gets to play) but if he doesn't win it, utilize him like Florida did Percy Harvin.
