Signed - QB Patrick O'Brien

There's not much from here on out. He's on campus, enrolled in classes, now he just has to be the player that we thought he'd be! All the best to him.

At the quarterback position this year, it was the top two then everyone else. Shea Patterson and Jacob Eason are on a different level than their counterparts but that's not to say the upside isn't there for some others.

Michigan commit Brandon Peters is the closest to having that five-star toolset with size, athleticism and a big arm. He just didn't do enough at the Army Bowl to get over that five-star hump.

Malik Henry was the best the quarterback out of an Under Armour group that struggled all week. Henry though had his moments and if he puts it all together, he has the ability to be as good as anyone in this class at Florida State.

The second best quarterback in California is Nebraska commit Patrick O'Brien. There was even some legitimate five-star discussion for O'Brien after an outstanding senior season but we felt the arm strength didn't pot enough yet to hit that threshold.

If arm strength is the biggest critique they've got, I'm ecstatic he's here. The dude was a baseball player, he's throwing absolute rockets in his film.

Watching that video it boggles my mind why our AD doesn't cover the turf during the winter. I can't imagine we couldn't get another 2-3 years of life out of it if they would.
