Nice! I'm not crazy high on the kid but getting your quarterback is often one of the lynchpin pieces to the rest of your offensive recruiting. Welcome Richard.

I do like that his mechanics look decent.  Gets his shoulders turned well and transfers his weight.  Two things that guys with big arms don't always do - they can try to just muscle it there with all arm.

Doesn't thrown a very tight spiral.

I think it's a massive mistake for a staff not known for developing players to take another project at QB. Ordinarily taking a project is fine, but this is multiple years in a row.

Frost and Co. need to actually develop high school skill possession talent, something they haven't done well, or start recruiting players ready to play after their redshirt year.

Let's hope Torres gets better and can be the guy to turn Nebraska into a winner.

Development is just as much on the player as it is on the coaches.  That being said I worked with a Juan Torres in Chicago who looks just like this kid but was probably 5'8".  Same haircut tho

Maybe a case of taking a raw player to develop or not taking a QB at all in the class. With the trajectory of the program, losing seasons 5 of the last 6 years and no bowls I can't imagine too many top tier QB's even would consider NU at this point.
