Armstrong had 10 carries for 57 yards, most of which came on a 25 yd run. However, he did lose about 20 yards on a bad shotgun snap that (I assume) counted against his rushing total. Didn't get a lot of chances to run.

He was 8 for 18 throwing for 101 yds, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Has a very strong arm but isn't particularly accurate - several of his completions we on WR screen-type plays.

Overall, I see a lot of promise. Has very good feet and can make plays running. Very strong arm but will need some time to develop as a passer.

Should fit in perfectly to be ready to go in two years.

Reconfirmed his commitment to Nebraska. 100% N. Sounds as if the increase in interest from other programs is not mutual.

My favorite QB recruit in a long time. This is a big time get and probably the most underrated guy in our class. I truely believe he is worthy of a fourth star.

He is 4 star worthy, but I am moreso looking forward to watching him develop.

Tommy is starting in tonight's O-D All-American Bowl.

Nebraska quarterback commitment Tommy Armstrong was slow out of the gate on Wednesday, but turned it on in the afternoon session and drew rave reviews the West staff on Thursday.
"Tommy could be special," said Hatchette. "There are just some things like when you see two players dunk a basketball, they both dunk but one just has that little extra that you can see. That's Tommy. He's got that 'it' factor. He's made a couple throws every practice that have been very impressive, bigtime college throws."

Armstrong is slated to get the start on Thursday night over Maryland commitment Caleb Rowe, who has also been very good.

"[Rowe] has a high IQ, he makes all the right throws, all the right reads and has a very good arm. I think we're very fortunate at the quarterback position."
