Signing day

I'll be at a doctor's appt most of the morning. Very bad timing for that, and I'm sorry, but it looks like it may just be Mavric. I can help update stuff later in the day if need be.

 
I was looking into posting to Facebook but it doesn't seem to want to let me. When I click the Facebook icon at the bottom of a thread I get a window with a bunch of warnings and a "Login with Facebook" button at the bottom. When I click that button, I get

"[#1090001] You need to visit your ACP Settings for Facebook Connect and enter your Facebook Application ID"

I checked in the Help and it says there should be a a Facebook setting in My Settings but I don't have that. What am I missing?

 
I sent you a PM about fb account. If by adding you to the fb hb admin list doesn't help; that's it for my help

Yep, I'm up and going on the Facebook page now but still get the same error when I click on the Facebook link at the bottom of a thread.

 
Now with that kinda problem you need to ask Zoog's, knapp, addict or AR. Way past my paygrade. Now if you need an IV started or conscious sedation I'm your man

According to this page, under Your Settings there should be a place to link to your Facebook account but I don't have that option. That seems to be the problem. Does that need to be enabled for us serfs Mods?

Actually, no one has that option. Haven't set it up in the Control Panel. To do that, I need to create a Facebook app and Facebook will send me the settings to enter in our Control Panel. If I get a chance tonight, I'll try and get the app done. One possible problem is that I don't have a Facebook account, and I may have to be a registers user to create and register the app with Facebook.

 
Got it. It might be helpful going forward - pretty easy way to keep the Facebook page updated.

I'm admittedly not the most proficient Facebook user but I figured that is how the links were posted to the Facebook page. Something similar is how I usually post links to my other Facebook pages/groups. Someone might have to help me out....

Some of my strategy from last year: I don't know if you have a Twitter, but if you do, watch it like a hawk with the guys like Sean Callahan, Nate Clouse, Josh Harvey tweeting out NLIs before the official Huskers account puts them up. Rarely will they run wrong info. Once a player signs, edit the above graphic to the top and put SIGNED in the title, removing the [Nebraska Commit]. If a significant player signs elsewhere, put [school - Signed NLI] in the title. Pin all NU signees and unpin signees who went to other schools as necessary. 8-10am is the true winning time of Signing Day.

I didn't do any Facebook coverage last year, but the best way to go about it would probably be to include the link to their profile page here and put "Zack Darlington is SIGNED! Read more here: http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/66050-qb-zack-darlington-nebraska-commit/"
