Simple: Will Riley be back for a 4th year?

For what it's worth, I don't think Riley will be back and I hope he isn't. The ginger assassin speaking today is not a good sign. If he had to consider where Iowa was at for Pelini, there is no way in hell he can apply that same logic to Northern Illinois and come to and different conclusion. The only real question is if Eichorst will have the opportunity to make the change or if it will be his replacement. I'm guessing the latter.

None that Eichorst entertained or interviewed. Riley was his sole interview and hire because Eichorst wanted to bring him on as a head coach at one of his previous jobs.

Two things:

1.  Yes, SE said he was the man he targeted and the only one he even thought of...Uggg

2.  Money is not an issue and most of the time there are "funds" from boosters that take care of it

I sort of think so...I really think SE is trying to get out in front of this to save his job first.  He needs Riley to "retire" so he can save his own a$$.

It will be a disaster if SE isn't kicked to the curb with MR. How can you trust SE to hire another football coach?

Yes, why would one of the greatest programs in CFB history consider firing a coach who just lost to a MAC school, and has started 1-2 in two of his first three seasons.... That'd be crazy.

Become?  Have you talked to anyone else in the conference?  We bought that spot when we sold our collective soul to get away from Texas (and look at the suck from Austin!).  It was a money grab.  We aren't relevant and likely won't be.  the end.

I have no idea what they're thinking but I would guess some major boosters are fuming about this soft brand of football and lack of discipline. Doubt you can just keep throwing money at it though.
