So Helu is Starting... Right?

Meh, Lucky should still start. He is a good all around back. MUCH better pass blocker and is a better receiver. Helu is a better pure runner but he is much farther behind Lucky on a few other KEY skills.

man ur crazy lucky dont have the break-away ability like helu ... cant hurdle like helu ... cant evade tacklers like helu..... only thing lucky has on helu is he can throw better...... lucky just isnt that break-away back we need... we got Q our power guy... but helu/mendoza/ tray robinson from tx gonna shine it up these next few years

Did you not READ what I wrote?

Luck is a better ALL AROUND, Helu is a better PURE RUNNER.

The whole, hurdling, evading thing, its included in the BETTER PURE RUNNER thing I talked about up there.

Lucky is BY FAR a better pass blocker and receiver right now. Sorry, but its true. Lucky is a perfect scat back. Yes, give Helu some carries, and he will be our feature back next year. Right now, I think we should start Lucky. Jesus christ. Though I guess I shouldn't argue with someone who types LiKe ThIs.

By the way... CoRNHoLe,NeBraSKa ---- Nice....

Helu is averaging 127 yards per game in the four games he was given the majority of the carries.

There's no way you can argue that Helu isn't lightyears ahead of Lucky in actually running the ball (and he's only a sophomore...Lucky is a senior). Just watching them in games it is pretty easy to see. You don't see Helu go down too often at first contact; you do see Lucky go down alot at first contact. Helu makes people miss and tries to find a hole; Lucky usually just ends up running into the back of one of his offensive linemen trying to eek out some yards (much like Castille does). Helu has better vision and just seems more athletic than Lucky.

Now, Helu does have some work to do on his receiving game and to a larger extent his blocking ability.

Who would I choose to be my primary running back? Helu. Does it matter what I think? No, coaches will start Lucky if he is able to go.

=

We NEED a pure runner! it dosn't help when we gain 1 yard on first and second down just to have a "good pass blocker" or "good hands guy" in the back field for 3rd and 8... Maybe we could swing a dump pass out in the flat there for 3 yards or set up a middle screen that gets shut down before it even gets started. <_<

Maybe you have never actually watched a football game, but different plays call for different personnel...

This topic was about starting, so yeah Lucky could "start" in for the first play and Helu could come in for the rest of the game and Lucky would still get the "start" tag

I find it funny, how quick fans will tear each other apart.
