What's the likelihood the new user 'frontrunner' is actually Damon Benning and chose to join the board 36 minutes ago just to publicly defend himself in a Huskerboard status update?

 
Exactly my thought. It seems like weird timing outside of the already odd decision to do that.

I did a pipl search on dbenning21@gmail.com and it turned up as related to DB which added to my confusion.

 
Yeah, I'm thinking this is a fake. He's responding on to people on HB, but not on twitter. I sent him a PM and asked him to respond to my Twitter DM.

That's true, but why Huskerboard? Why that status update of all things? People have been speculating about his and Frost's relationship on here for months if not years. And, in the 10 years I've been here, I don't think I've ever seen a former player publicly out themselves in such a manner but perhaps it has happened. DB's a smart dude and this just seems weird.

IP searches are so far turning up nothing. If this is legit, my brain is a little addled.

@BIGREDIOWAN I wish I could remember whose status update it was, but, a poster made an update saying something along the lines of 'Frost saying hi to DB during the press conference proves just how much they dislike each other.' It then turned into several other posters chiming in about how it probably all relates back to LP, how DB and other former players need to "get over it," etc. Then, out of nowhere, someone claiming to be DB (and now we know actually is DB) posted this long note about it defending himself, saying he and Frost are buddies, etc.

I'll see if I can track it down because it has to go on the all-time list of weirdest stuff I've seen on this board. Is there a way to find old status updates if we don't know who the poster was? I think the old board version had that functionality.

So let me get this right, you guys have put together such an amazingly run board you managed to get the most popular talking head on the radio to engage your members?  Well done all of you. Board has never run better.  Hope you are all still enjoying your time on here, that's the most important thing. :)
