Star Wars: Rogue One

Ah, that explains it! For what it's worth, I think 3 is supposed to be the best of the prequels.

I'm not sure if I've ever watched #3 fully through either. But I got the gist from this:

...and caught most of the highlights later

This is from a CNN article about the succesful opening weekend:

With its strong performance, "Rogue One" has shown that Disney can make Star Wars films that fans will want to see even if they have nothing to do with the core story.
Um. No it hasn't. Rogue One has everything to do with the core story.

They will have to make a story that takes place 1,000 years before or after the main story before they can prove this.

Just going to copy and paste this here:

Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia to most of us, has died at the age of 60. Condolences to her family and closest friends.

Carrie, you will be missed immensely by all Star Wars fans who loved you. The attitude and fight you brought to the role of Princess Leia, when you could have just as easily portrayed her as a helpless damsel in distress, was beautiful to see.

Rest In Peace.

It's funny how people get so offended over lists like the one I or Zoogs made as if it effects their lives or something lol
Who said they were offended?

I do, however, think you and zoogs are drinking from the same well water... and it's not good.

That's okay.

It's been a really long time since I've seen the originals. Maybe I'm not giving them a fair shake!

But as much as I liked Star Wars, TFA raised it to a new level for me. And I really feel Rogue One fell short -- except in production; it was beautiful cinematography (but so is Transformers, probably?)

What it tried to pass off as character development, though...Pitch Perfect 2 was better, to try to come up with a somewhat reasonable comparison from my limited repertoire of recent movies

(Ensemble cast, main characters, a bunch of side characters, a plot that is mainly an excuse to {Do Star Wars Things}/{have a musical}). And PP2 was pretty lacking in this area.
