Starting new threads

So I know one of the things we need to do is start new threads and generate discussions, cool, no problem. The problem is a few of you guys are way awesome and are all over the news before I even get a chance to post something!

So, my question is, what news sources are you guys using that I can start paying attention to so I quit looking like a lazy POS and I can join in the fun!

Yeah, that's basically what I do. I check Twitter fairly regularly and when I find something interesting, I do a quick copy/paste to start a thread.

BRI.....If this is not in your wheel house, maybe just focus on replying. If you see a thread dropping without much replying, maybe try to rehab it by posing a question or adding a comment.

When your average lurker or casual member looks at hboard and sees the first 20 maybe 30 threads updated with "today".....that peeks curiousity, that initiates clicking around, that hopefully is noticed by newbies that this is the place to be. In the end, we hope to draw more revenue to pay for the board.

Okay, thanks for the info. I've never been great about starting threads even as a regular member years ago. It's usually because by the time I notice the news it's already on the board which is a good thing.
