Obviously as you can tell, we have a LOT of work on both sides of the ball, more-so the defense, but all I can say, Evans, Baptist and Gregory are holding their weight, plus more. Others need to step up and become what they are capable of. Starts and ends with tackling.

It wouldn't hurt if Evans were a better open field tackler.

It wouldn't hurt if EVERYBODY was a better tackler.... open field or otherwise.

Ain't that the truth.

Lots of work to be done. I do not imagine the defense improving itself too dramatically considering our remaining schedule.

Bo will have 2 weeks to re tool the defense....if there is little or no improvement next weekend, this season will be toast, with major coaching changes next year.

The scariest thing about those stats?

Looks like Nebraska's strength of schedule (to date) is around 98th nationally. I'd hate to see how bad Bo's 2013 defense would look against decent competition.

Agreed. In all actuality, I would like to think our next 3 games are "easier". We have the extra bye as well. If we lose one of the next 3, the seat gies from hot to cinders. Bo really needs to show that he and the staff can do something to get the D fixed. A tangible product that shows results. IMO, not just in the W-L column, but stats as well.
