Status updates

Is there a way to delete status updates if they are questionable? Not saying that I’ve seen any that have been I was just wondering. :dunno

Although I am getting annoyed with Deafy1289 constantly posting MURDER!!!! :madash

 
I think that is my favorite new option of this board but it does pose the question above. What if one status goes way wrong in subject??

Anything we can do?

 
I haven't tried it, and I don't know if mods can do this, <- because I haven't tried it and I'm not a mod.. But I think you can just view the persons profile and change there status as if you were them.

 
Indeed, we can do it by clicking on "edit member" on their profile page...lets us change other things like signature too.

 
Update: as a admin, when viewing a members profile I have the option in the upper right hand corner to edit member, status is one of the fields we can edit. Could a mod check and see if you can do that too? I don't know, haven't investigated any further..

 
I noticed this ability as well. I link directly into the Husker Football forum and rarely go to the front page, but I'll try to glance at it at least once a day from now on.

I've noticed our ability to modify some parts of a member's personal info, and status is one of them. I would hope that Mods would be able to alter all aspects of a person's public info. I've seen links and advertisements in several places on a person's info over the years on various boards.

One thing I hadn't noticed is the ability to change a person's User Name. I know that epoc would like to change his to epocson. Can one of the Admins do that for him? I haven't responded to him when I've seen his request because I don't know policy on that. Do we allow that kind of thing?

Changing display name is an Admin function. We do it all the time - so far, no one has abuse the privilage (multiple changes, etc.). Have him PM me and I'll get it done.

 
Deafy1289 just posted MURDER!!!! as his status again. I went in and deleted it. Should we consider upping his warning level, or just kicking the POS to the curb?
