Taariq Allen

I looked through some threads and didn't see anything, but do we have any word on Taariq Allen? He left the game holding his knee. ACL injury?

Sorry if this has been covered in another thread, and it has been, please merge lol.

Pretty sure it is a season-ending ACL injury. Feel really bad for him, especially after getting his first TD reception, and especially since it was on a blatant block in the back.

Get better Taariq.

Completely agree, but if this is the case, what sucks even more, is he can't apply for a medical redshirt, not saying he would though. With today's surgeries, hopefully he is back to 100% by next season. He is a stud.

Was watching the replay on btn and it was very blatant.

Yeah, horrible block in the back. happened right in front of us and you could just see his knee twist, buckle, then give out. Looked pretty disgusting.

Its sad when we had a player get suspended for the same exact thing. Tells you how much they were really after two years ago. I believe we are the only school to have a players suspended for that. Calls were not going our way that game, and I am not one to gripe and moan about penalties, but 45 yards off of ridiculousness, is just ridiculous lol

I would more understanding of this if it didn't happen on an absolute cheap shot.
by cheap shot you mean getting blocked?
By NCAA rules, he would be counted as a "Defensiveness Player" so yes, cheap hit, block or whatever you want to call it. You ready to admit we have one of the best offenses yet? ;)
haha - after 2 turnovers and scoring half our season average? Going 33% on 3rd downs? being held over 100 yards below our season rushing average? i think you have some admitting to do.

1 Turnover that is still questionable to this day, and one INT, that should have been caught you mean? Its nice to see your not a man of your word. You didn't see our offense play conservative? We could have kept going hard, but why if you know your going to win? To risk the chance of an unneeded injury? Come on
