Taariq Allen

Its nice to see your not a man of your word.
man of my word? you forget the deal? here...

....tell ya what - since you are using only stats to prove your point --- we are averaging 41.6 points a game (48.5 at home), and 512 yards per game (542 at home). If we are just average against Michigan, and hit those numbers without turning the ball over inside their 35 (therefore negating offensive points by giving them easy scores)...I'll concede that we are one of the best offenses in the nations. If we don't, will you concede we aren't?

And I really hope you win this argument now. :)
Deal ;) Lol

And what? Because we played conservative, rather than running up the score? We had that game won when we were up 16-6.

160 yards rushing, against the #10 rush defense in the league (at the time). Damn I guess we do suck. I am sorry you are right. Our offense is just mediocre.

...that was less to do w/ our offensive power and far more to do w/ our defensive dominance over a freshman QB (who we played the way we should have played UCLA)

and they're not mediocre - they just aren't one of the best in the nation. they can be for a quarter here, a half there...but unfortunately as Nebraska learns all too many times during a season, there'd 4 quarters to a game.

*sigh* We should have just ran the score up, risked injury, just so people like yourselves can see we are good. There is smart football, and there is careless football. We played smart football during Michigan, knowing we didn't need to put a lot of yards to win.

1st half

1m 50sec per drive in the 1st half. About 7.5min/5drives, 1 leading to a touchdown, 3 punts, and a fumble

2nd Half

2.37 per drive in the second half, 18+minutes/7 drives, 4 drives leading to points, 1 ending the game, 1 with an INT and a punt. Two of those drives went for 10 minutes alone. 3minute drive and ending with a 7minute drive.

Back to the topic. The hit on Allen was most definately a targeting block or hit and it was in the back. The ref that saw it should be feeling real bad right now that he didn't call it assuming they review their own work.

A few posts in this thread have nothing to do with Taariq Allen, it has to do with the offense as a whole. I will remind everyone to stay on topic and start a seperate thread about the offensive ranking if you want to discuss it there.

Taariq is my only link to Nebraska.. he played HS ball right down the road in Weston... The knee buckling like that suggests torn ACL.. .He was starting to click with the O too.. Get better Taariq.. All us Mass-Hole Nebaraska fans in Massachusetts are pulling for you.. :cheers

I would more understanding of this if it didn't happen on an absolute cheap shot.
by cheap shot you mean getting blocked?
By NCAA rules, he would be counted as a "Defensiveness Player" so yes, cheap hit, block or whatever you want to call it. You ready to admit we have one of the best offenses yet? ;)
haha - after 2 turnovers and scoring half our season average? Going 33% on 3rd downs? being held over 100 yards below our season rushing average? i think you have some admitting to do.
Is it just absolutely and utterly painful for you to be a Husker fan??????????????? If you couldn't see that our gameplan in the second half was to run clock, especially when we knew Robinson was done, and let our defense win it you are completely dumber than any one of us that has ever read your posts thinks.

I normally don't do this and I try to be as objective as possible, but your opinion is garbage and not valued by too many on this board.

Jason Peter?????????????? Is that you????????????

KC Husker = Jason Peter

Cheap shot aside (even if it was), I am really sick about this injury. Kid has a very bright future and will help our offense a ton!
