But seriously, there is also the inherent burden of women's sports not being taken seriously, the uphill battle that female athletes have had to fight for decades to have a fair seat at the table, and misogyny, stereotyping, and discrimination that negatively impacts females much more so than males. The volleyball program at NU has built itself into the most successful sport on campus for quite a while now, and these women are some of the best athletes on campus also. Objectifying them on this message board, even if it is a joke, is a bad look. It's disrespectful and unnecessary.

I like looking at attractive women as much as the next guy, and there are plenty of places on this board to joke around and talk about sex (mostly in the shed), and a whole internet full of stuff that we can go to if we want. But when we are disrespectful toward Husker athletes, it's bad for Huskerboard.   

 
I suppose I can stop making jokes about the football players' physiques, but I make them because I don't actually think about them that way. In fact it usually doesn't occur to me because I only care about the football.

 
also men aren't treated as second class citizens sexually in media and as athletes, so even if you were sexualizing them the impact isn't nearly the same.

For reals now...I don't care.  I thought your post was funny and I think that the old dudes post was funny.  I thought my post was funny (With that said I tend to think that all my posts are pretty funny and witty)

People need to stop being so serious on this site, it is for fun and screwing around and killing time...and sometimes getting some Husker info.
