Tangent Thread - Lifetime Edition

I can't help you if you're going to require someone to post several different articles backing what they say. What I post often isn't going to make it into an article.

To assume Wiltfong has better intel than all of us isn't a good assumption. He may be the best national guy in the business, but he was comically bad in '19
Then you can't help me. I struggle to trust the professional analysts know what a recruit is not willing to make public himself. No way I trust "insiders", but please keep sharing with the board. I am sure others enjoy it. I am fine with just ignoring it.  :thumbs

Have I wronged you sometime 6+ years ago? If I have, I apologize. Weve had two exchanges now and you've been the one with the animosity and snarkiness.

If you wish to ignore me that's fine, I'm sure there's still an ignore button.

Take it... EZ

No. Nothing personal. I don't remember you from your previous time on the board. Not a fan of "inside" information, but like I said, you do you. I don't use the ignore button. I am a mod, so hard to moderate content you can't see.  :cheers

You're awfully rustled
  If you want to continue this now tangential conversation, I suggest sending me a DM or taking it to the Woodshed. This is a thread for discussing the recruitment of Bollers, not worrying about a perceived slight that you have experienced.

Understood. I would point out you were the one that drove the thread off topic.

You do realize that only about 10% (probabaly less) actually tell writers who their current 'favorite' is right? People put in predicitons based on how many times they visited, how they would fit in scheme, location, and who they claim their top 5 are.

Everyone in Omaha knew that Watts would go to ND once they offered. That is nothing some guy sitting in California would know.

Yes. That is why I said I struggle to believe professional analysts if the recruit does not say it publicly. And, even more why I don't listen to "inside" information ever. You are making my argument for me.

f#&%...I just smoked wings for the first time and tomorrow I am doing pork belly bites but now I am afraid to start a "Hey guys, can you send up some prayers for my new recipe as I smoke these pork belly bites" in the PR Forum.

You're gold as long as you are willing to discuss it with others and not flip the f#&% out if someone asks a question or critique.

For example, I won't pray for your pork belly bites, but I'll be interested in how they turn out. Question about the wings though: Just got a new smoker myself and am planning to smoke some wings next week. How did you prep the wings? How long did you have them on? And is there archaeological evidence of Jesus eating smoked wings?

Haha!

I did my wings like this...

Rinsed them off...dry rub and in the fridge for like 2 hours...Put them on the smoker at 250 with apple wood chips...took about 2 hours to get to 165...I took them off and put them in the air fryer on 400 for about 4-5 minutes to crisp them up...then I tossed them in some Sweet Baby Rays.

They were great but for me, personally, I still would rather just do them in the air fryer and skip the smoker, I still have not found a better method for wings then the air fryer.

I can't wait to do the pork belly bites.  I will use those for sliders, possible pizza topping and tacos.

Jesus did not come over to try my wings...probably because he knows I would have had my hose on full blast while bugging him to turn my water into beer.

People who love their smokers will lose their d@mn minds, but a tiny bit of liquid smoke before the dry rub is good. Not as good as on a smoker, but WAY less time and effort. The only trick is not to use too much and to get it as evenly coated as you can. Harder to do with dry rub than a marinade.

We've done pizzas in our smokers the last 2 weekends. The first weekend we did a sausage and peppers. I smoked the sausage before putting it on the pizza. Last weekend we did 2 smoked barbecue chicken pizzas. They were awesome

I wanna try that too. With the pizza, did you cook the entire thing all at once, or did you do the crust first and then add toppings? I've seen recipes for it both ways and wonder which is better.

Other than pre-smoking the sausage and the chicken a little bit, we just cooked everything at once. The recipe I followed said 40 minutes but it took a little bit longer than that

This is the book I have:
