Tangent Thread - P&R Edition

So the #1 QB select Nebraska selected Nebraska because it's a Republican University.  Lol.
Hey bud, try and keep up a little bit. This isnt new stuff. These “leaders” care more about getting the woke out of the university than keeping up with the top of the BIG in academia. They pushed out Green and Carter for being “too liberal”. CRT and DEI are what true Americans care about!

Laughable.  CRT and DEI have proven themselves to be ineffective and you will see more states focus on core academics over far left ideology.  If keeping up in academia means complying with far left views, Nebraska leaders have made the right decision to not cave.

And over half of US states have implemented similar measures.  Are their ADs all leaving too?

Lmao the fact you think CRT and DEI is a problem in the first place is laughable, nobody had ever even heard of that crap before you people started talking about and nobody can even tell me what CRT is or how it was taught in schools to this day. Just making up a boogey man out of thin air.  This is the problem with the republican platform on public schools. Thanks for proving my point.

No University President worth anything will want to come here when this crap is the focus. No wonder its taken 8 months and we still havent filled the position.

Not the place for this discussion. And that poster had a history of right wing ideology so it's going to fall on deaf ears.

First off, I think both parties suck now and do not like the direction either is going.  I will not vote for either major party candidate.  With that said, DEI is all over in this country. There are D&I ambassadors and senior positions in colleges and large companies.   My son is now visiting colleges to attend and some have whole areas devoted to D&I.  To suggest it does not exist is rather naive.  And as I shared, there are 30 other states that have taken a similar approach to Nebraska and I do not see them struggling to keep their AD.  This appears to be an issue with Nebraska's internal leadership structure that is not tied to national politics as some keep claiming on here.   I did not initiate the political slant but am simply responding to the naive original post.
